Description:
Based on the best selling Norwegian novel written by Lars Saabye Christiensen, Beatles is the ultimate coming-of-age story. Four teenage boys in the 7th grade are growing up in Oslo at the time when Beatlemania hits Norway in the 60s. The backdrop is a country and a world undergoing radical political change.

The four boys Kim, Gunnar, Ola and Seb each take on one of the Fab Fours names, match their outfits and they plan to start their own band, The Snafus. But imitation can only go so far, especially since instruments are expensive as hell.

But so much more is going on! There are girls to discover, alcohol habits to cultivate, and parties to celebrate. There are teen jokes, backward-thinking adults and beatings from bigger guys. There are fervent hopes and harsh disappointments – and on top of it all, there’s music.

A wonderfully fun nostalgic and charming look back at the trials and tribulations of boys on the cusp of adulthood, enduring friendships and the certainty that no band in the world is better than the Beatles!
