Description: Every day in the social media we see reality stars and famous people. They have Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, are photographed everywhere they go, given special treatment, the best tables in restaurants and the nicest rooms in hotels. A lot of them are idolized by the public. But is it important that the only talent that some of them have, is mugging for the camera? We decided to see if we could get this 'special treatment' and idolization without lying about whom we were and determine how far the lines have been blurred between fact and fiction. Police escorts, crowds cheering, the fact that everyone believed I [filmmaker] was a famous actor...this film dictates that with the right attitude and a camera, it really doesn't matter who you are, its who they think you are!
This short film does not push the envelope of cult personality and distortion of media; neither does it break the bonds of false exaggeration. Rather it enfolds it. It's a game of confidence. We decided to ask these questions. What if you couldn't tell the difference between what was real and what was not? What if you could get away with something and everyone seemingly believed you? Sometimes it doesn't matter who you are, it's who they think you are.
