Description: Sabri, a barber in Yozgat, a very small city in the middle Anatolia, has some emotional breakdowns when he runs into Yavuz and Neşe who come to the town to sing in a small music hall-bar. None of their desires will be how they want them to be.
Yavuz sings popular songs from the ’70s, but his career has sunk to irregular ‘performances’ in a shopping mall with a low-quality sound system. Beyond this, he teaches music on free courses offered by the local municipality. His wife’s death has left him a loner and he has had no other relationships since. Neşe, one of Yavuz’s students from the municipality course, has a job doing sausage promotions at supermarket stands.
She has a good voice and a genuine interest in music, but is condemned by her poor background to earning a living through menial work. Yavuz is offered a job singing at a club in Yozgat, but needs a female voice to accompany him. The first and only name that occurs to him is his student, Neşe, and he puts the idea to her. Deciding she has nothing to lose, Neşe accepts his offer. Yavuz and Neşe set off for Yozgat, leaving behind the hopelessness of their lives at home. But how will their new and unlikely partnership fare? What will they meet with in this provincial town neither has seen before?
