Description:
Dekh Indian Circus is a film with a large heart. Living in poverty, Jethu and Kajro barely scrape by with their meager earnings. Trying to fulfill the eternal Indian dream of educating their children they put every possible penny aside for their childrenís schooling with nothing left over for extras. So when a circus comes to a nearby town, itís a stroke of a luck that a corrupt politician is doling out money to buy votes.

True, he never fulfilled his promises to bring better roads, schools and running water to Rajasthan last time, but the hand-out is enough to buy tickets to the show. Alas, Jethuís bribe is stolen. But Kajiro will not be put off. Unable to face her heartbroken daughter, she is determined to find a way to the Great Indian Circus with a resourcefulness that is at times comical. Writer/director Mangesh Hadawale reflects on serious issues of poverty and corruption in this light, entertaining satire with a touch of slapstick.
