  We are delighted to honor one of the best directors, actors, producers, and jazz musicians living today. The tribute to Mark Rydell will be on Thursday, March 22, 2007, with the showing of his latest film Even Money.

Mark Rydell (born March 23, 1934 in New York City).

As director, Rydell's films include Cinderella Liberty (1973), The Rose (1979), On Golden Pond (1981, his Oscar nomination as Best Director) and The River (1984). Rydell began his career as an actor and first became known for his role as Walt Johnson on The Edge of Night and as Jeff Baker on As the World Turns, which he played from 1956 to 1962. In Robert Altman's The Long Goodbye (1973) he won plaudits for his role as the violent mob kingpin, Marty Augustine. He most recently appeared in Hollywood Ending as Woody Allen's loyal agent to the hypochondriac director (Allen).
