Monica’s most fervent wish is to be an angel in the annual summer church procession. When she learns she is to be replaced in the parade, Monica steals a pair of the ‘angel wings’, only to lose them on a streetcar. In her attempts to recover them from Mary (Clare Coulter), a troubled homeless woman who believes she is communicating with God, Monica learns something about being a real angel. |
