This film is an autobiographic story, reflecting the director’s life in 1970's Iran. Ekman is a 14 years old boy brought up following the strictest Muslim traditions. However, his heart tends to break away from this iron world. The boy falls in love with a Hebrew girl who is a daughter of the owner of a movie theater. Feelings inspire Ekman and, though everybody disapproves strongly, he decides to dedicate his life to cinema art. But this proves to be a difficult path as society denies even his wish to attend cinema.
