Lionel Coleman
Lionel Coleman (Writer & Director) began his career in television as a photojournalist for CBS in San Francisco. From the battlefields of Somalia, to the urban battlefields of Florence and Normandy during the Los Angeles riots, he has traveled the globe telling stories with pictures. Based on his unique visual style, Nike recruited the young Director to join its in-house production team in Portland, Oregon.

During his three year tenure, Coleman directed some of the greatest sports heroes in the world including Michael Jordan, Ken Griffey, Jr., Jason Kidd, Carl Lewis, and Michael Johnson.

In 1998 he returned to Los Angeles and began directing commercials for such clients as Gatorade, GM, Coke, Subway, Wal Mart, and HBO. He has also directed a film of a live performance-featuring comedian Margaret Cho titled, "Iím The One That I Want." This project marked Colemanís natural transition into the long format arena.
