Patryk Rebisz (1980 - ), born in Poland, is a young New York City based filmmaker. Graduate of prestigious Cooper Union School of Art, his work spans from ultra short action spots to longer dramas. Although hard to categorize, his films are dealing with inability of humans to connect with each other.
In 2003 he completed lavishly shot sci-fi drama Tomorrow's Yesterday about human memories manipulated by future generations. In 2004 he shot a number of short dramas including ambitious Secret Life of No 5, a remake of Kieslowski’s Decalogu 5.
Besides being technically savvy with the traditional shooting formats (ranging from 8mm to HD and beyond) he likes to experiment a lot. He shoots with any format that's capable of taking pictures. His most recent short Between You and Me was shot using digital still camera thus creating a stop motion animation with people.
Making his living as director/director of photography he’s currently developing his first feature.
