Born in Iran 1974, began her artistic activities as a painter in 1991 and participated in various exhibitions in Iran and aboard. She commenced work in cinema in 2000 first as Director of photography, and then as an assisstant Director.

2002- The lead actress in Abbas Kiarostami's "Ten"
2003- Mania completed as a co-director the documentary "Crystal"
2003- Started to write, direct and act in her "6 Video Arts" collection. "Self", "Repression", "Sin", "Escape"
2004- Wrote, directed and acted in "20 Fingers" (won the Venice Film Festival-Venezia Digitale 2004)
2005- Finished her "6 Video Arts" collection with: "Fear" and "Devastation"
