Danielle Lurie |
|
Danielle Lurie, 25, makes her directorial debut with “Nostrum” after working as a production assistant on features films (“Terminator 3,” “The House of Sand and Fog,” etc.), TV shows (“Then Came Jones,”) indie films (“The Nazi,” directed by her brother, Rod Lurie), and numerous commercials. After graduating in 2000 from Stanford University with a BA in Philosophy, Danielle first began her career in Hollywood reading scripts when she interned for The Canton Company, and Section Eight, and as a Development Assistant for Halcyon Entertainment. Since “Nostrum,” Danielle has directed two films for the Scavenger twenty Four Hour Film Festival, “Expressionist,” and “Pollo Rey,” as well as mini documentaries “Wild Hearts” featuring the California Wildlife Center and “Harris Ranch,” a brief look at the Harris Ranch beef feeding ground off the 5 Freeway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Danielle credits none of the professional look of “Nostrum” to herself, but rather to producer Russell Allen, cinematographer John Bartley (“X-Files,” “See Spot Run,” “Wrong Turn”), and editor Alex Recsan. Danielle is currently in pre-production on her next short film, “In The Morning,” set in Turkey. Films |
