Nora Hoppe
Nora Hoppe was born in 1954 in New York City; also grew up in Suriname. Studied art and theatre at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She then lived in London, Rome, Munich, Paris, Rotterdam, briefly in St. Petersburg and currently resides in Berlin.

In Rome she was Lina Wertmüller's assistant for four years. She has worked in various areas of film production and has written several screenplays. She made her first short film "BRIEF GARDENS" (15 min. b/w) in St. Petersburg, Russia, with Alexander Sokurov's crew and production company. "THE CROSSING" is her first full-length feature film.
