Born in Athens in 1971. Covering news stories of great interest and importance, he has worked as a journalist for most of the major Greek TV channels. Working as a war correspondent for many years he has traveled extensively in Bosnia, Croatia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and Palestine. He has also reported live from hot spots covering events that shook the world, such as the revolution in Albania, the earthquakes in Turkey and Iran and the shipwreck of the ship Estonia. Since 2000 he has been the creative force and the director of Exandas, a documentary series that is broadcast on National Greek Television (NET). Holding the Exandas' camera Avgeropoulos has traveled in the hot spots of the world.
