Mauro Mueller
Mauro Mueller {Writer/Director} is a young independent filmmaker who grew up in Zurich, Switzerland. He was a teaching assistant for Richard Peña and Andrew Sarris at Columbia University where he is pursuing his MFA in Film Directing. He studied Spanish literature and Global Communications at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.

He is a recipient of the Columbia International Film Network Fellowship, the Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship, and the Outstanding Student in Video award. Mauro interned for the Swiss musical channel viva-swizz (at that time swizz music channel) and was a research assistant to Dr. T. McPhail working on his book "Development Communication: Reframing the Role of the Media."

His short films have played at festivals around the globe (Singapore, Huesca, Ireland, Sinaloa, Brooklyn, Santa Monica), and they have won numerous awards (best student short Las Vegas FF, CINE Golden Eagle Award, Silver Lei Award Honolulu IFF, etc.). He is currently living in New York, working as a screenwriter and director and developing his first feature film.
