Tamás Wormser
Born and raised in Hungary, Tamás Wormser began his career as a theatre director. Since immigrating to Canada, Wormser made films in all genres, from fiction – THE HAT, THE RING – to dance films – THE THREE MARIAS – but mostly documentaries – like FACES OF THE HAND, STEP UP!, TOUCHED BY WATER, and TRAVELLING LIGHT. His work has been shown in over 40 countries, and has won several international festival awards.

His most recent production is TRAVELLING LIGHT, a documentary filmed in 11 countries on modern-day nomadic artists. “Dynamic and in constant motion, Wormser's film intimately explores the rich relationship between freedom and attachment, creativity and travel,“ recommends The Hour. “Captivating… blurs the distinction between art and life” praised The McGill Tribune, while La Presse simply called it “charming and intoxicating”, after its premiere at Cinéma du Parc.

Most recently Tamás was commissioned by the Cultural Olympiad 2010 Vancouver to make HAND TO HAND, a short film that was viewed by millions around the world.
