Marco Gianfreda
Born in 1974 in Rome. In 2001 he graduated at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", in Theoretic Philosophy, with an essay on Hegel. From 1998 to 2003 he attended some of the best Italian schools of creative writing and screenplay: Centre Internazionale Alberto Moravia, Scuola Holden. In these schools among his teachers were Age, Suso Cecchi D'Amico, Mario Monicelli, Andrea Camilleri, Domenico Starnone, Dacia Maraini.

In 2006 he wrote the subject and the screenplay of the shortfilm "Tana libera tutti", that won more than 40 awards, like the nomination at David of Donatello as best Italian Short, the award of "Work of National Cultural Interest", the Jury Special Award at Festival Arcipelago, and was selected by several international festivals. At the present he keeps working as a screenwriter.

In 2009 he also made his debut as a director with the short film "IO PARLO!", selected by more than 45 international film festivals, obtaining the Golden Mboni Award - Best International Short film at Lola Kenya Screen, the Prize as Best Foreign Film at Independent's Film Festival ir Florida, the Special Mention of Jury at Philadelphia Documentary &. Fiction Festival, the Nomination as Best Short film at International Youth Film Festival UK, the Adriano Asti price at Valdarno Cinema Fedic, the Special Mention of Jury at Rome Independent Film Festival, and the selection for Nastro d'Argento Prize.
