Belgian born , Walter Georis moved to San Clemente California in 1957 where he found passion in music and art. In 1964 Walter studied photography in Laguna Beach under photographer/mentor, William Mortensen. At the age of 19 Walter met film maker Bruce Brown.
While in High School and approached Bruce Brown to write and record music for the now famous surf film The Endless Summer. The music was a collaboration of several musicians in the band know as The Sandals...
In 2007 Walter returned to Southern California and took interest in paying tribute to the "un-sung heros, the Shapers / Innovators and Surfers that he knew in the 60s. The men and women who unknowingly created the surf industry as we know it today.
