Cassie Jaye
Cassie Jaye is a local Marin County documentary filmmaker. She started in the film industry by moving to Los Angeles at 18, and acting in numerous independent films and TV shows. She co-starred with Michael Madsen and Black Eyed Peas singer, Taboo, in a tree-hugger romantic comedy, Cosmic Radio, directed by Stephen Savage.

She also starred as Penelope in James Greer’s poetic retelling of the Odyssey in his film, Diegesis. At the age of 21, she decided to go behind the camera and founded Jaye Bird Productions in 2008 with her family: Nena Jaye, Jay Pugh, and Christina Clack.

Jaye Bird Productions first film, and Jaye’s directorial debut, Daddy I Do, documented Abstinence-Only Programs in America and their effects on society. Jaye then directed Faces Overlooked, a short documentary about Marin County’s hidden hunger crisis, for the ‘Faces of Hunger in America’ film contest hosted by the Palms for Life Fund.

Jaye Bird Productions’ next film is The Right to Love, a feature documentary about Marriage Equality, which Cassie will co-direct with her sister, Christina Clack.
