Eric D. Howell
Eric D. Howell began film production at age 10 with his father’s 8mm camera. By age 18 he landed his first industry job as a special effects technician. As camera operator, stuntman, and locations scout, to dolly grip, screenwriter, director and producer, he has experienced every role involved in the production of motion pictures over the past 19 years.
Credits include: THE MIGHTY DUCKS trilogy, DROP DEAD FRED, EQUINOX, SUGAR & SPICE, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, IRONWILL, A SIMPLE PLAN, UNTAMED HEART, IN THE LINE OF DUTY, JOE SOMEBODY, FARGO, NORTH COUNTRY, FACTOTUM, A SERIOUS MAN, OLDER THAN AMERICA, NOBODY and many more.
After completing his award-winning first short film THE INTERVIEW, Eric was hired to direct a nationally syndicated children’s television program and continues working on feature and commercial projects.
In addition, he works as a producer, director, videographer, and editor on his own short films. Eric often travels to the most impoverished regions on Earth to document the children who live there. He is currently involved in the development of several feature projects.
