Roberto Rochin Naya
(Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, 1954) A film director and producer, he grew up in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, studied film at Loyola University in Southern California. His debut film, Ulama, el juego de la vida y la muerte (1986), received five Ariels and international recognition. He filmed the docudrama El misterio de los mayas (1994) in IMAX, introduced the Motion Control visual effects system in Mexico, has supported and coproduced outstanding animated shorts. He made screenplay adaptations of the novels Asesino solitario and El amante de Janis Joplin by writer Elmer Mendoza. He is developing two video games based on pre-Hispanic legends.
