Hwa Jun Lee
Hwa Jun Lee was born in Seoul, Korea in 1971. After receiving his BFA degree in Ceramic Art from Dan-Kook University in Seoul, Korea, he went to Temple University in Philadelphia to study in Cinema in 2002. In the fall of 2004, Hwa Jun entered the Graduate Film Program at San Francisco State University.

He wrote and directed several short films including “A Pinwheel” (12 min, 2004, 16mm) and “A Girl Like Me” (12 min, 2005, 16mm). “A Green Mountain in the Drawer”(30 min, 2008, S16mm) is his graduate thesis film, which was shot in San Francisco and in an old countryside village in Korea where his grandparents lived long time ago.
