Patricio Serna Salazar
Patricio Serna Salazar was born in Monterrey, Mexico, on February 1, 1976. He studied Communication at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, a Master’s in Documentary Making at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, an MFA in film at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He has written and directed five short films and written and produced several others, with which he has participated in over fifty national and international festivals.

His shorts Tromba D’Oro, Victoria para Chino and Mating Call have received various awards and the latter was shown on the Landmark channel in the United States and was acquired by Canal+, television of Cataluña and ARTV in Canada. He has directed commercials for various agencies and production companies in the City of Monterrey. El toro is his first 35 mm short film.
