Steph Green
Steph Green is a young writer/director represented by Ridley Scott and Associates in the US and UK and Zanzibar Films in Ireland. She was first noticed when her student film, Copywrite, was honoured in festivals worldwide.

Steph’s professional directing career began after she received her Masters in Film Studies in Ireland, with three national spots for one of the country’s largest homelessness organisations, The Simon Communities. The spots would go on to be showcased at the 2004 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival as well as The Young Guns young talent awards 2004.

After completing Push Hands, a short film produced by Zanzibar Films and funded by RTE/The Galway Film Centre, Steph moved to Los Angeles and began working as Assistant to Spike Jonze (director of Being John Malkovich and Adaptation). While working with Spike, Steph was able to see all aspects of top-level commercial, music video, and feature film production, working on award-winning projects as well as pre-production for Spike’s feature adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are.

Since leaving Spike to pursue her directing career, Steph has directed spots and films in Australia and Ireland as well as the US (including an international commercial shot by Janusz Kaminski) and has been nominated for a second Cannes International Advertising Award (this time for an Ikea spec spot, “Cover Up”). She has also worked in non-profit media, completing a documentary project for The Peter MacCallum Cancer Center in Australia, and a behind-the-scenes video for The Inconvenient Truth, starring Al Gore.

Steph has recently been collaborating with Roddy Doyle in Dublin and received an Irish Film Board loan through Zanzibar Films to shoot an adaptation of one of his short stories entitled New Boy.
